Every day slides on top of the next so quickly it is hard to know where we are headed.
I wake each day with my mind full of plans and projects I must work on, but the reality is, small steps are the most difficult. It is easy to dream big and far into the future to wish and hope for things to be just so, however, it’s the everyday decisions and circumstances we step through that add up to make up our years.
I like to say, “think small.” I can do small.
I can accomplish a bite of a large difficult thing if it is small enough for this one day. The small things will add up and become the pieces of the puzzle that fill in the big picture I cannot see right now.
There is satisfaction in dealing with what needs to be done and doing it, even if it’s just a part. Tomorrow there is time to pick up a little more and before you know it the finish is before you. That makes us stronger and able to take hold of the next thing and keep moving along to the place we are destined to be.
Get your “small thing” for today, and do it.
